Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about SpriteADHD and Brit

About Brit (Your AI Coach)

What makes Brit different from ChatGPT or Claude?
Brit has full context of your work and is trained specifically on ADHD challenges. Unlike generic AI assistants:
  • She remembers ALL your projects, tasks, notes, and conversation history
  • She tracks your accomplishments and references them automatically
  • She's trained on ADHD-specific issues: time blindness, RSD, working memory problems, the quit/fired cycle
  • She gives brutally honest feedback (not generic encouragement)
  • She predicts how long feelings will last and when you'll return to priorities
ChatGPT/Claude forget your context after each conversation. Brit grows with you.
Why is Brit "brutally honest"? Isn't that mean?
Brutal honesty = respect for your intelligence. Most AI gives you endless positivity ("Great job! Keep going!") which feels hollow and doesn't help you course-correct bad ideas.

Brit will tell you:
  • "That project needs a revenue model to work"
  • "You're not researching, you're procrastinating. Let's ship something."
  • "This isn't the right time to quit your job - you've only been there 2 months"
But she's never cruel - she explains why (neurological, not character flaws) and offers concrete next steps. She distinguishes between "this is ADHD" and "this is avoidance."
What's the difference between Personal Chat and Project Chat?
Personal Chat = Strategic/Meta-Level (Life across ALL projects):
  • "Should I quit my job?"
  • "I'm overwhelmed across all my projects"
  • ADHD coping strategies
  • Energy management
  • "Should I even be doing this?"
Project Chat = Tactical/Specific Next Steps (ONE project):
  • "What should I do next on this app?"
  • "Help me prioritize these 10 tasks"
  • Brit can add tasks, update notes with one-click approval
  • References your specific project context and recent work
Does Brit actually understand ADHD or is it just marketing?
Brit's training includes real ADHD research and statistics:
  • 60% higher firing rate for ADHD employees
  • 3x more likely to quit impulsively
  • Time blindness (impaired sense of time duration)
  • Rejection Sensitive Dysphoria (criticism feels 10x worse)
  • Working memory deficits (forget instructions mid-conversation)
  • Dopamine-seeking behavior (prioritize interesting over urgent)
  • Hyperfocus vs. distraction patterns
  • 3-5 day productive cycles before needing rest
She doesn't just know ABOUT these - she actively coaches around them.

ADHD-Specific Features

How does SpriteADHD help prevent the "quit/fired cycle"?
Early warning detection + intervention before crisis:

Brit tracks 5 red flags:
  • Missing deadlines more than once a month
  • Manager seems frustrated or avoids you
  • You're avoiding certain tasks for weeks
  • Feeling overwhelmed daily (not occasionally)
  • Daydreaming about quitting multiple times per week
When 3+ are true: "I see red flags. Let's talk strategy before this becomes a crisis."

Before you impulsively quit, Brit asks:
  • "Is this temporary boredom or genuine bad fit?"
  • "How long have you been there?" (< 6 months = too soon)
  • "Can you add novelty instead of leaving?"
  • "Is this your ADHD talking or actually a toxic workplace?"
  • "Do you have another job lined up?"
Then: "Sleep on it. We'll talk tomorrow when you're calmer."
What is Rejection Sensitive Dysphoria (RSD) and how does Brit help?
RSD = feeling criticism 10x worse than neurotypical people. It's a common ADHD trait where feedback feels like a personal attack, even when it's constructive.

When you get harsh feedback, Brit helps:
  • "Write down EXACTLY what they said (not your interpretation)"
  • "We'll look at it together tomorrow when you're less emotional"
  • "Feedback is about the WORK, not about your worth as a person"
  • "Go for a walk. Drink water. Do your evening routine. We tackle this with a clear head tomorrow."
She distinguishes between RSD reactions and genuine workplace problems.
I jump between projects constantly. Will SpriteADHD make me feel guilty about that?
No - SpriteADHD encourages multi-project work. Brit knows: "Not bad. It's how you work. You'll naturally return to top priorities in 2-3 days."

Traditional productivity tools force you to "focus on one thing" which breaks ADHD brains. We're built differently:
  • Track unlimited projects (Pro tier)
  • Switch freely without guilt
  • Brit references momentum across ALL projects
  • Side Tracks for quick idea capture
  • Parking Lot for "someday maybe" ideas
Context switching works for you - we won't fight it.
How does energy pattern tracking work?
You map your energy/focus levels across 24 hours. Most ADHD people have predictable patterns:
  • High energy mornings (8am-12pm)
  • Post-lunch crash (1pm-3pm)
  • Second wind evening (7pm-10pm)
Brit references this when coaching: "It's 3pm and you're stuck on this decision. Table it until tomorrow morning when you're sharper."

You can also track longer cycles (3-5 productive days → need rest). Brit watches for burnout: "You've worked 9 days straight. Non-negotiable: Stop at 6pm today."

How It Works

Do I have to fill out a bunch of forms before I can start?
No - start immediately. Sign in with Google and you're in. Everything is optional:
  • Start with one project
  • Add tasks as you think of them
  • Chat with Brit anytime
  • Fill out User Profile whenever you want (makes Brit smarter)
The app grows with you. Use what you need, ignore the rest.
What are the "Make These Notes Coherent" and "Critical Path" features?
"Make These Notes Coherent": Paste your messy, haphazard project notes. AI organizes them into clear structure while keeping your original ideas. One button click = instant organization.

"Critical Path": AI analyzes ALL your projects, identifies dependencies and blockers, creates visual timeline of what must happen when. Understands your task notations like [D3] (3 days), [W2] (2 weeks), [NeedFor: projectname] (dependencies).
Does my data sync across devices?
Yes - everything syncs to the server automatically.
  • Sign in from any device with your Google account
  • All projects, tasks, notes, chat history available everywhere
  • Changes sync in real-time
  • 2-week session = no constant re-login
Your data isn't trapped in one browser's localStorage - it follows you.
Can I export my data if I want to leave?
Yes - one-click export to JSON. You own your data. Export includes:
  • All projects, tasks, and notes
  • Chat history with Brit
  • User profile and energy patterns
  • Daily routines and accomplishments
You can re-import later or use it elsewhere. No lock-in.

Pricing & Plans

Is there a free tier?
Yes - free tier includes:
  • Full access to Brit (Personal + Project chat)
  • Up to 3 projects
  • 100 AI messages per month
  • Energy pattern tracking
  • All core features (daily routines, notes, export/import)
No credit card required. Try it risk-free.
What does Pro tier include?
Pro tier ($9-19/month) includes:
  • Unlimited projects
  • Unlimited AI conversations with Brit
  • Priority support
  • Advanced analytics (coming soon)
  • Priority feature requests
  • Early access to new features
Lock in early-access pricing: Beta users get lifetime rate.
Why should I pay for this when ChatGPT is free?
ChatGPT doesn't remember anything about you.
  • Every conversation starts from scratch
  • You have to re-explain your projects every time
  • No context of your work history or patterns
  • Not trained on ADHD-specific challenges
  • Can't track accomplishments or energy levels
  • Can't suggest actions or update your tasks
The ROI calculation: If SpriteADHD prevents ONE job loss (60% of ADHD adults face this), it pays for itself 100x over. Loss of income + resume gap + stress = $$$ far exceeding $9-19/month.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes - cancel anytime, no questions asked.
  • No cancellation fees
  • Keep access through end of billing period
  • Export your data before leaving
  • Can reactivate anytime with same account

How SpriteADHD Compares

How is this different from Todoist, Asana, or ClickUp?
Traditional tools are built for neurotypical brains:
  • Rigid deadline systems (ADHD brains struggle with time estimation)
  • No ADHD-specific support (no RSD awareness, no job survival tools)
  • No AI coaching or pattern recognition
  • Force single-project focus (breaks ADHD productivity)
  • No energy tracking or burnout prevention
SpriteADHD: Flexible priorities, multi-project support, AI that understands ADHD patterns, job crisis prevention, energy management.
What about ADHD-specific apps like Focusmate or brain.fm?
Those are point solutions, not complete systems:
  • Focusmate: Body doubling for focus sessions (great! but doesn't help with planning, prioritization, job survival)
  • brain.fm: Background music for focus (helpful! but no task management or coaching)
SpriteADHD is a complete productivity system: Planning + execution + AI coaching + job survival + multi-project tracking + energy management. Use SpriteADHD alongside those tools if they help you.
Do I need ADHD medication to use SpriteADHD?
No - SpriteADHD works whether you're medicated or not.
  • Many users are undiagnosed or unmedicated
  • System is designed for ADHD challenges regardless of medication status
  • Brit doesn't give medical advice about medication
SpriteADHD is a productivity tool, not a medical treatment. (If you think you have ADHD, see a professional for diagnosis/treatment options.)

Technical Questions

What browsers does SpriteADHD work with?
All modern browsers:
  • Chrome, Edge, Brave (Chromium-based): Full support
  • Firefox: Full support
  • Safari (Mac/iOS): Full support
Mobile responsive - works on phones and tablets.
Does SpriteADHD work offline?
Partial offline support:
  • You can view and edit tasks/notes offline (saves to localStorage)
  • Brit conversations require internet (AI processing happens on servers)
  • Changes sync to server when you reconnect
Is there a mobile app?
Not yet - but the web app is mobile-responsive. Add to your phone's home screen for app-like experience. Native iOS/Android apps are on the roadmap based on user demand.
Why are page loads slow during beta?
We're optimizing! Current version loads the entire app at once (large single-file React app). We're working on:
  • Code splitting (load only what you need)
  • Lazy loading of features
  • CDN distribution
  • Image optimization
This is temporary during development. Production version will be much faster.

Getting Started

I'm overwhelmed just looking at all these features. Where do I start?
Start simple - ignore everything except this:
  1. Sign in with Google
  2. Look at "Project 1" - read the notes
  3. Add 1-3 tasks in the HIGH priority section
  4. Open Personal Chat and say: "I'm new here and feeling overwhelmed. What should I focus on first?"
Brit will guide you from there. Everything else (energy tracking, daily routines, additional projects) is optional until you need it.
What if I don't have ADHD but struggle with similar issues?
SpriteADHD helps anyone with executive function challenges:
  • Autism spectrum (overlapping executive function issues)
  • Anxiety/depression (affects motivation and prioritization)
  • High stress or burnout
  • Entrepreneurship (even neurotypical entrepreneurs benefit from structure + flexibility)
If you struggle with prioritization, time management, multi-project juggling, or need accountability - try it.
Can teams use SpriteADHD together?
Currently designed for individuals. Each user has their own private workspace. Team/collaboration features are on the roadmap if there's demand.
